Missa Artistica  sculptures

The inspiration for this series came after listening to Missa Luba a version of the Latin mass based on traditional Congolese songs. About the same time repeated playings of the tenor Juan Diego Flórez singing the Kyrie from Misa Crilloa were being heard on the radio.  This music and its rhythms were the incubation for a sculptural version of an artist's mass.
The work Gloria in excelsis Deo is a homage to Vivaldi.

Note: Yes I know Artistica is made up or pig Latin, the closest I could come up with in Latin was tecnicus which does not sound nearly as good.
