See Change Festival - Mediterranean Banquet for twenty people
This event was held on 28 May in order to raise funds to support the See Change Arts Festival. Each participant paid $100 all of which went to Jervis Bay & Basin Arts who organise the festival. The food was sponsored by myself and Michael Salecich of Salet Basket Press Wines ( http://salet.com.au/ ) very kindly sponsored the wines for the event.
The Menu
Hummus, Baba ganoush, pickled turnip, dolmades, olives, bread.
Wine : Salet Chardonnay 2009
Malfouf Makbus (whole pickled cabbage), Pickled beetroot, Giardinera (pickled mixed vegetables).
Roasted Red Peppers, Nicoise salad, Spinach & onion, Cauliflower, chorizo & Cannellini,
Sweet potato & lime, Eggplant & Chickpeas, Cucumber & yoghurt, Pomegranate chicken,
French beans & tomato, Potato & chipolata, Giant beans & tomato, Fennel & orange, Silver Beet & Tahini
Watermelon & feta, Beetroot & Walnuts, Falafel.
Wine : Salet Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Pecorino, Spiced Gouda, Frico (hard goats cheese), Grapes.
Wine : Salet Shiraz 2010
Kashaf (dried fruit salad), Honey Yoghurt & Rose jam.
